Coaching sports and competition have been a big part of Coach Doug's life ever since he picked up a bat and a ball.

Coach Doug grew up in a small town in the mid-west (Illinois) where baseball was his passion. He played through high school and then on scholarship to the U of Illinois, as a catcher.

In 1984, Coach Doug was offered a minor league contract with the L.A. Dodgers, until injuries ended his baseball career in his mid 20's. Over the past fifteen years, through patience, practice, determination and knowledge, he gradually lowered his handicap down low single digits.

In his youth, he was a coach/instructor in baseball, softball and soccer for ages 5-19. As his golf game improved over the last several years, he helped countless golfers take their game to the next level.

From absolute beginners picking up a club for the first time to seasoned players just looking for a fresh perspective, Coach Doug has truly loved helping each golfer get more joy and fulfillment out of their game.

Coach Doug is an excellent caddie, A player can hire him for 9 or 18 holes and is known for his positive and informative nature.

Fall Program

This is an ideal program for junior golfers who would like a combination of small group classes, private lessons and the occasional caddie.

Overall Program:

The Associate Program is a development program for both beginners and junior golfers looking to continue their commitment to better golf. Those golfers wishing to try their hand at competitive events are encouraged to play in tournaments such as US Kids Teen Series, US Kids Local ( 1-day events), SNJGA Tour or Mini-Tour events. All golfers are encouraged to purchase a Youth on Course membership and make sure the membership is up to date. Youth On Course membership provides members with access to play golf for as little as $5 at thousands of courses throughout the United States and Canada.

Program starts the first week of October 2026 and runs through May 15, 2027.
